An A2A (airport-to-airport) visa change gives you a fresh 60-day stay by leaving the UAE briefly and coming straight back on a new visa — usually on the same day.
It is the route to use when your current visa cannot be extended inside the country, or when a new entry is preferred. The 60 Days A2A Dubai Visa Extension is applied for while you are still in the UAE, and you fly out only once the new visa is ready.

How an A2A Visa Change Works
- While still in the UAE and within your current stay, you apply for the new visa.
- Once the new visa is approved, you fly from a UAE airport to a nearby airport in another country.
- You wait at that airport — normally without passing its immigration — for your return flight.
- You fly back to the UAE and enter on the new visa, which starts a fresh stay of 60 days.
The flight tickets for the exit-and-return leg are separate from the visa price. We help you time the flights around the visa approval so you are not left waiting abroad.
Who Typically Uses A2A
- Visitors whose current visa cannot be extended from inside the UAE.
- Travellers whose stay is about to run out and who want a new visa with a fresh entry.
- People who need a longer new stay than an inside-country extension can offer them.
If your visa can be extended without leaving, the 60 Days Inside Country Visa Extension avoids flights altogether.
Documents Required
- Passport bio page — colour scan, valid for at least 6 months.
- Current UAE visa — a copy of the visa you are in the country on.
- Photograph — recent, colour, plain white background.
- Flight details — your planned exit-and-return flights once booked.
How to Apply for the 60 Days A2A Dubai Visa Extension
- Choose your passport and travel country. Use the search at the top of this page — pick the nationality on your passport and the country you are travelling from.
- Pick the 60 Days A2A Dubai Visa Extension. The next page lists only the visas your passport can actually apply for, with the live price and processing time for each.
- Fill in one online form. Add every traveller to the same application — each person, including children, needs their own visa.
- Upload your documents. A colour passport scan and a photo are enough for most applicants; we tell you straight away if anything else is needed.
- Pay securely. You see the sponsored visa fee and service fee before you pay by card.
- Book the exit-and-return flights. When your new visa is approved, take the short flight out and return on the same visa.
- Receive your e-visa by email. Track progress with your application ID on the visa status page, then check every detail on the approved visa against your passport.
Your nationality decides which Dubai visas are available to you, so we always start from your passport rather than sending everyone to the same form.
Timing Matters More With A2A
Processing is same day, but A2A involves two moving parts — the visa and the flights. Start at least a few working days before your current stay ends so the visa is approved and the flights are booked while you are still within your permitted stay.
Do not exit too earlyOnly fly out once the new visa has been approved and you have a copy of it. Leaving without it means you may not be able to board the flight back.

Do Not Overstay
Your 60 days stay ends on a fixed date. Staying in the UAE beyond it without a valid extension is an overstay: UAE immigration charges a fine for every extra day, and a serious overstay can lead to an entry ban or make future visa applications harder.
Fine amounts and any grace period are set by UAE immigration and can change, so do not rely on them as extra time. With A2A, the exit flight must happen within your current permitted stay — exiting after it has ended does not cancel the fines already due.
TipNote your last permitted day as soon as you land — it is counted from your entry stamp, not from the day the visa was issued.
Mistakes That Cause Problems
- Leaving the application until the last day of your current stay.
- Booking non-changeable flights before the visa is approved.
- Uploading a blurry copy of the current visa.
- Entering details that do not match the passport exactly.
Good to knowAn approved visa lets you travel, but the final decision to admit you is made by the immigration officer on arrival. Carry your return ticket and accommodation details in case you are asked.
